Event Description: Cabela’s will host a series of free, educational seminars and demonstrations on wild game processing, cooking and preservation at its Reno store during the company’s Field to Fork event, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 22-23. The event will offer a wide range of hands-on activities focusing on successfully harvesting wild game for the dinner table. Topics will include vacuum sealing and meat grinder demos, meat dehydrating and more. Leading the seminars and demonstrations will be Cabela’s knowledgeable staff, members of Cabela’s Pro Staff and Cabela’s vending partners. At noon on Saturday, Oct. 22 in our conference room, local butcher Mike Dodd from G&M Meat Processing will present demonstrations on wild game processing techniques and the knives and accessories needed to do efficiently. At noon on Sunday, Oct. 23, seminars will be offered on food dehydration in the camping department. And, at 2 p.m. each day, Cabela’s staff will host demonstrations on meat grinding equipment and techniques in the camping department. Additionally, customers can visit www.cabelas.com/cookwithcabelas to learn about the latest food processing, cooking and preservation tips, tricks and tactics from Cabela’s Pro Staff and experts.
