Date: 2/5/2017 Time: 9:00 AM TO 5:00 PM 2325 Market St Reno, NV 89502 Phone: (775) 826-2626 ext 200 Event Description: Feature: Reality Based Training Scenarios Fundamentals of Home Defense is designed to educate the student about the handguns that are best for personal defense and how to use them efficiently in the context of a home defense scenario. It is for the new to experienced shooter who is interested in learning specifically about using a handgun for personal defense in a home defense environment. This comprehensive course starts in the classroom and quickly moves to the live fire range where students will be introduced to the fundamentals of defensive shooting. Students will learn about various firearms types and the distinct advantages that some have over others with regard to defensive use. They will be introduced to the most important shooting skills and have the opportunity to develop their competency in the context of a “home defense” shooting situation. The course finishes with a Home Defense scenario in the Reality Based Training room with a role player(s) utilizing our dedicated training firearms and ATK Force on Force marking training ammunition. Fundamental Home Defense Tactics, Responsible Defensive Firearms Storage and dealing with Law Enforcement Response will also be covered.
