Yes, there is a happy hour. That being said, I did not personally go there for the happy hour. Rather, I was there for a full dinner.

We came early on a Saturday night and snagged a table without reservations, but I highly recommend planning ahead if you want to enjoy this spot. It fills up quick and by the time we were leaving, we heard they only had seating at the bar available.
The decor is a bit outdated, and there is an eyesore unused salad bar in the middle of the dining area. The chairs look like an early 90s fabric choice. Otherwise, it is very clean, the staff is friendly and professional, and the ambiance was peaceful.
They offer garlic bread and breadsticks to start. We tried a fritto misto app, with shrimp, calamari and artichokes served lightly crispy.
For dinner we had a seafood linguine with a wine sauce and the risotto w/ pan seared scallops. It was VERY flavorful with loads of shallots, and a slight tartness, and I loved every bite.
Overall, the experience felt very luxe and was definitely a treat for special occasions. Worth checking out for your next celebratory dinner.

Had a lovely dinner with friends at La Strada in the El Dorado Resort & Casino.
The restaurant is lovely and mimics and Italian street with dining under the stars. Open kitchen adds an authentic vibe and the service was impeccable.

We started with mushroom ravioli and a charcuterie platter- beautiful presentation! Both were delicious.

Husband had the seafood pasta loaded with seafood - I had the veal parmigiana! Wow, so delicious and a ton of food!

Dessert was tiramisu which was equally delicious!

If you're looking for a nice romantic Italian dinner - you won't be disappointed.

The reason for writing this review and our disappointment in La Strada is, on January 25 we made a reservation for an early Valentines dinner and to late attend concert. Yesterday we received not only one confirmation request from La Strada but 2 in which we confirmed our reservation.

Late last evening after returning home from an event my wife had a voicemail from La Strada cancelling our reservation. It turns out they are supposed to be closed on the 13th. If this is the case they had 2 weeks to let us know they would be closed but instead we are notified at the last minute making it difficult to make other arrangements. I called the Eldorado, where they are located several times today to verify whether or not La Strada was open today. The operator's response confirmed they were open today on 02/13/2024.

It is obvious that there is some sort of communication or management issue.

La Strada was a great place for dinner and the staff was excellent. They were friendly from when we were greeted at the entrance to the wait staff who were quite efficient and aware. The food was very good, but it could have had a little more seasoning. I got the Shrimp with penne ala vodka and was happy to find a lot of shrimp in the dish. Because my husband had gotten a risotto dish that came with an appetizer and dessert, we were lucky to be able to try the mushroom ravioli and the tiramisu. Both were excellent! Some of the best tiramisu that I've ever had.

Came out to La Strada for dinner with some old friends. Made the reservations via open table a few weeks back. When we got there, we were sat outside and not in the restaurant. I asked the kind lady who provided our wine to see if we can get a table inside due to the smoke. She stated it wasn't possible since all the tables were occupied. Having the lingering smoke smell hampered the experience. The option should be provided to sit in or out, and if it's outside, put it in the reservations! If I would have known that, would have canceled. Service was fine, our waiter was friendly. The focaccia app with the prosciutto was great and the baked ziti I ordered was tasty but the pasta was very over cooked. The cannoli for dessert was not worth it. Would have been a better experience sitting inside rather than outside with the casino smoke.

Very good restaurant. The seafood linguine is delicious. The food is very good and tasty. The garlic bread is the bomb. Our server was Lia and she went above and beyond to give us the best service ever. She's very nice. When you come here ask for her to be your server. Thank you Lia. The Connolly dueto is super good. Definitely eating here next time I come back.

As soon as you walk in, you get greeted with a smile and notice the incredible ambiance. The service was top notch which is what you expect from a place like La Strada. The menu was also what you would expect from an American-Italian style restaurant. Since my daughter, who was with us, spent a year in Italy as an exchange student, she is somewhat of an expert in Italian cuisine. She ordered the carbonara as she claims that the way a restaurant creates a carbonara shows whether it is really Italian or not. She loved her dish. As or me, I ordered the Risotto Mare E Monti, shrimp in risotto with asparagus and parmigiano reggiano. It came with their signature mushroom ravioli along with a marvelous desert. My only beef with the main course was the lack of seasoning. It really could have used a touch more salt and pepper, but maybe, that's just me. Otherwise a nice evening with the family.

La Strada has been in the Eldorado Hotel & Casino for as long as I can remember. I can't recall going there to eat, although I've eaten their food at Cin Cin happy hour many, many times

During lunchtime La Strada hosted the Prospector's Club, again for many years. Having a relative that was a member, I did eat here many times .. although I think it offered a slightly different menu. And the food was always really good.

La Strada has been widely known for their Mushroom Ravioli, which I've had at Cin Cin many times. So I was somewhat disappointed with them on my last visit. They were good, but I expected amazing. And another person had the Uncle Willie's Ravioli.. how could ravioli with meat sauce be dry .. but it was

Yet the Veal Osobuco was amazing, as was the special of the day .. Filet & Shrimp. The Veal Picata was tender and good but it had a cream sauce rather than a wine sauce.

It's a old England style decor. Server was professional. I requested something special for our anniversary maybe glass of complimentary drink or dessert like most other restaurants but that didn't happen. The food was decent. I ordered lamb medium well but it was over cooked and burnt. Really burnt ends and it tasted bitter. Not sure how the chefs are able to serve burnt food. Salmon was good. Drinks are over priced. $18.95 for a cocktail. We also ordered dessert pistachio creme brulee and my husband loved it. I did not like it. The top was extra hard and could tell it wasn't freshly made. It wasn't my first time there and I was excited for yummy food but little disappointed. I will still go back again and hope for better.

This establishment truly deserves nothing less than a glowing 5 star rating. This was our first time and our experience here exceeded all expectations. We were hesitant on coming here based on the reviews and originally came for a night time dessert but we were delighted that we experienced their dinner.

-The lemon Sorbetti was so soft and vibrant, creating a sensory delight I will be back for.
-The lasagna undoubtedly claimed the spotlight of flavors that harmonized perfectly together.
-The spaghetti was perfect and had a delectable tomato sauce I will remember.

The ambiance of this establishment was romantic, tranquil and serene. Fostering a atmosphere of relaxations and comfort.

A special commendation and gratitude is due to Christopher, whose attentive and exceptional service transformed our first visit into an unforgettable occasion. He was the sweetest gentleman

We look forward to make this our stop when we are in Reno!
