I recommend Sparks Christian Fellowship because this place is great! It's name should be 'Good For You' because it is so heart-warming and comforting.
Okay, so about me: I like to attend a variety of churches. I attend Centers for Spiritual Living Science of Mind, Unity, Buddhist, Native American, Jewish, and Christian as I really like what is written that Jesus said. One of my favorite Christian churches is Sparks Christian Fellowship. I've been variously attending Sparks Christian Fellowship services, classes and events for a couple of decades and have enjoyed them all.
Cleanliness at Sparks Christian Fellowship . . . no worries.
It has been my consistent and rewarding experience here that church leadership, church staff, church members, and church volunteers are well-organized, and all walk the talk of Jesus.
Matthew 25:35-36 where Jesus said, "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me."
In stark contrast to many businesses we've frequented lately:
No automatic gratuity was demanded for our attendance.
No one at this business offered to commit fraud to reward us or pay us or compensate us for posting 5 star reviews of this business. It a crime to break official rules imposed by the FTC.)
No one at this business hassled us about our Service Dog or the Veterans' accouterments we adorn her with lavishly. (When your children are teenagers, it's important to have a dog so that someone in the house is happy to see you.)

I am so happy that we found Sparks Christian Fellowship in Sparks. I have never felt so welcomed in any other churches I've attended. The Pastors speak right from the heart. I would highly recommend SCF to anyone in need of spiritual guidance and/or true love and compassion.

Mr. football coach preacher over at SCF at my son's graduation at Sparks I decided it would be OK to bring his little goon squad and harass me and my family acting like we're a bunch of kids I just snuck in to watch my son graduate while there is exactly 5 of us like the amount of tickets there was a little baby with us but SCF seems
like one of those places where they like saying the N-word when nobody else is looking atHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Debra K.Sparks, NV63234769Jan 10, 2018
I love going to church. Sparks Christian Fellowship is located on greenness just off pyramid highway.
What used to be a movie theatre, is now a bustling, welcoming church.
There service times are 9 - 11 am
They have a separate area for kids to learn, play and have fun while integrating the teachings of the Bible.
You are not judged on what you wear to church, shorts, flip flops, football jerseys, cowboy boots, bikers, every one is welcome.
They have series that lasts a couple weeks, and focuses on certain areas of the bible.
Sunday morning this is where you will find me.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mar 12, 2011First to Review
This review is for their concert experience. They do a darn good job of helping Christian artists put on a good show. Saw Matthew West here and was very impressed. They even had affordable snacks.
Looking forward to my next Christian Concert here.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aaron M.Sparks, NV111Jun 29, 2016
I understand this is a late review, but people need to understand the type of church they think they are attending. It was 1999, and after a year of trying my wife and I finally were to become parents for the first time. We had been attending SCF for well over 3 years and knew many people and tithed more than asked. Attended every Sunday and many bible studies. 5 and half months pregnant we were excited for this appoint to the obstetrician, we were to find out if it was going to be a boy or girl.
ITS A BOY!! (Please, this is all relevant) After checking everything the doctor left the little heart for the last thing to check. After more than a lifetime. I'm sure it was about 30 minutes, but it felt like forever! Even a brief smile when I asked "is everything ok?" He replied "I cannot determine this baby has a healthy heart."
I will save you from all the intermediary torture my wife and I endured during this pregnancy. The doctor after Doctor. My wife used as a pin cushion. Her on bed rest the last month. This is where SCF starts to come in, or not come in. Even with the multiple calls from our best friends at the time, my wife's mother, no one from SCF, called, visited, emailed, texted, nothing!! The day came, we were planned to deliver in San Fran, but delivered in Reno. SCF, no show, pastor, nada!! Prayer chain? Forget it! Our sone was flown to UCSF, where he underwent open heart surgery, and finally, due to infection and unknown, passed on Xmas eve. Again, call after call was made to the church, anything? Nothing.
We had to wait until after Xmas to pick him up and bring him home. In our pain, we got no help, no consoling, no prayers, not even a how do ya do? Not even an excuse to why the church ignored our cry's for help.
We threw away every recording we ever bought from there and ultimately moved from the area. It took us years to attempt another church and my wife and I ended in divorce. I'm not saying the church caused my divorce. Just saying they ignored cry's for help.
A once great place of amazing memories, as a movie theater. Then a place of money making fake worship. To us anyways. I hope you have a better experience. Our sons name, it meant, "to move on". Even without the church, my son, walks with the lord and constantly watches over me, for he is my angel.Helpful 11Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 2 - Ernesto S.Reno, NV203Jan 1, 2018
People who become member of this church often comment on how friendly they were received there when they first visited. his church definitely has God's hand on it as it has grown since the beginning and now about 18 years later still has more people coming to it. Contemporary worship in an informal setting if that's for you. Practical teaching from the pulpit or, technically, the music stand which is used instead of a real pulpit. A very large church with home groups that meet for closer fellowship. A lot of outreach locally and internationally so lots of opportunities to serve. If you are looking for a church to join you really should visit to see if its a good fit for you and or your family.

I went to SCF for more than 3 1/2 years, was given the opportunity to serve on the Pastoral Care Support Team and I LOVED it. I LOVE SCF, Scott and Brett are amazing pastors and human beings. The various series that are taught have changed my life. I came to SCF after being out of relationship with the Lord for years and was welcomed, supported and grew more than I could have ever imagined possible. Thank you SCF, Scott, Brett and the whole staff and congregation. I moved to San Diego in November and miss you terribly but pray for you all everyday!

Let me start my review by saying that I DO NOT attend church here. This review is about the annual Trunk or Treat event this church holds. It's absolutely wonderful how great it is. I have been taking my kids here for 5 years to this event. It's safe, inviting, no judgement, and quick. I mean you go through all the cars in about an hour and your kids leave with a full bag of candy. I just can't rave enough about how great this church event is. It's truly a wonderful way to give back to the community. I'm very very impressed.

We went here for Christmas Eve mass, so we didn't have the experience of a normal mass. I enjoyed how modern this was, as they showed a Christmas Facebook story of Nazareth on their projector screen. The pastor was a bit preachy, however. The church wasn't located in the most convenient area.
