Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (Bigs) and children living in poverty (Littles), ages 5-14, in our community. Our program is evidence-based with positive outcomes that change the lives of youth and our community. In 2014, age-eligible youth in our program had a high school graduation rate of 85% compared to a 58% rate for their peers not participating in our mentoring program. We are a preventive program serving youth who want to be in our program unlike other court directed youth programs.
