The misson of Sierra Veterans Research and Education Foundation (SVREF) is to support and improve health care for our nation's veterans and the general public by facilitating research and education programs of the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System.
SVREF was established in 1989 as a non-profit corporation. As a flexible funding mechanism for the support of VA research and education programs and activities, SVREF facilitates collaborations between the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System and educational institutions, other governemnt agencies, private foundations, and industry sponsors. SVREF strives to provide outstanding support to VA researchers and educators through the development, management and administration of grants and contracts, personnel services, accounting and other common resources.
