The most challenging and rewarding workout experience I've done. I've become a regular here over the last year and just love the workouts and pace. I've noticed outstanding results physically and mentally and the results have shown on lab work too.

I have a regular gym membership, but was looking to add something new to break up the monotony and break thru a plateau.
My husband suggested 9Round, so I went to a free trial workout. Arrived at my scheduled in advance and confirmed time...only to wait. Then I had to wait some more, about 45 min, and for the free workout endure their "sales pitch", weigh in, etc. 1 year for only $2500!!! Overall, I was there about 1.5 hours for a 30 min workout.
I had spotted the 30 Day Challenge online and was going for that. Dude told me I couldn't sign up online, that I had to sign up in person with him. That turned out to be false, I did sign up online. Wow, commission sales much? Just come out and say it!
Arriving for the challenge turned out to be a challenge. No one seemed to know what was included in the challenge (um, I did...I read it when I signed up!) or what to do. More waiting, conflicting answers, another weigh in.
These guys seem to love boxing and are knowledgeable about it. The structure of the workouts is simple; 3 minutes per station for 9 rounds, with little mini exercises in between. The problem is they would stop me at least once per workout to mansplain that I was doing the combo wrong. "The combination is jab-jab-cross-uppercut, and you did jab-CROSS-jab-uppercut" as they would step in front of me to show me how to do it. WHAT?!?! Why?!?! Stopping my 3 minutes to nit-pick isn't helpful or productive. If I had been there for years and still messing up, that's one thing...but new and trying to get the hang of it...it was weird. I'm actually surprised they noticed when someone isn't doing the workout correctly, they spend so much time on their phones or the computer, only stopping to shout the next exercise set.
I ended up having some health issues and was advised to temporarily pause the workouts but I wanted to finish what I started, but based on my experience I wouldn't consider joining full time.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Lawrence H.Sparks, NV73112Jan 20, 2024

Gordo super rude. I walked in for my appointment today at 10am the nice lady greeted me but gordo walked out of the gym and said he didn't have room for me. I can all the way from stead for this. 30 min drive. Brian even texted me for confirmation yesterday evening. I don't get it. Someone could have messaged me to ask me to reschedule. He didn't even apologize. The nice lady did tho. Keep her around, she's very welcoming.

We immediately addressed the issue once we heard what happened and we can assure you, that you will not encounter anything like this again. We pride ourselves on taking care of every person that enters our facility to ensure that they have an amazing workout, while having fun and getting stronger in 30 minutes. As anyone can see from these so called explanation that the owner wants to give on my 1st post, this is how incompetent this place is.
My email was the wrong email they said. Then how did I get all the startup info when going? How did I set up my profiles when joining?
Here's another thing that makes no sense. They say from the documentation you provided we can see it was another daughter of yours and not my daughter who joined. What does that have to do with anything?
From that comment alone I would never ever trust walking into this place. So what they are saying is since my daughter caught COVID and per CDC regulations are, if anyone in a household has COVID, the whole house quarantines, 9 ROUNDS want you to come in anyways to continue your membership, and not put a hold so they can collect money.
They say my card was declined. Of course it was declined. At that time you had to quarantine for 14 days, I didn't get paid, per the request to hold off until I got back to work in 2 weeks.
Well as you can see they invite or actually demand ppl to come in if you have a membership even if being exposed to COVID just to keep their money coming in.
So I highly suggest never visiting this place at all. There is ilovekickboxing.com if you want this type of training or 10-20 bucks a month join a regular gym. This place is 100% money hungry, and the proof is right in his own explanation.
They don't care about Covid or ppl coming in if they were exposed, they want their money. They don't care of a family member has contracted COVID and your out of were per guidelines by the CDC. They lie and say they have the wrong Email yet when you sign up you get all the emails to set up a profile and manage your account, then when a problem occurs they say "the email you provided is wrong.
SO AGAIN STAY AWAY. Go to planet fitness 150% less what your paying here. I love kickboxing is a lot better and more in depth work out then here.

Hi Nathan,
We have been trying to work with you on this issue. In early February you called stating that you were having some issues and would not be in for a couple of weeks and wanted to possibly push back the date on your next payment. We informed you that at that moment it was due on the 20th and you said that would be fine. We asked if you were sure if that date was okay and we would be happy to push it back if needed, and you reassured us once more that the 20th was fine. This conversation was noted in your account, which is why we did not reach out to you over the next couple of weeks based upon the information you gave us during that call.
On February 20th, your card was declined. You were notified via the automated system that your card was declined, however, the email that you had provided us with was not accurate. On February 23rd we reached out to you via text to inquire how you would like to resolve this issue, as we had it on record that the 20th was an acceptable date to charge your card, as was outlined within your membership agreement, which you signed on January 18, 2021 for a 6-month term. You then called the gym to inform us that your daughter had COVID and essentially asked us to retroactively freeze your account. It was not made clear to us that the individual with COVID was not the same daughter as the one whom you had signed up.
We are not required to freeze any membership accounts, at any time, however, we do so as a courtesy for our members, when needed. We are also not required to offer a medical freeze, which waives the monthly fee for that service; all that we ask is for accurate documentation, from a licensed physician, to verify details, such as, for how long, any limitations upon return, and to verify the identity of the individual to avoid any abuse of this courtesy.
When the General Manager asked for you to send us that information, you refused to provide it and subsequently ended the call. We then texted you explaining that we would be happy to send you the freeze form and explained in detail why we needed the documentation, as well as the terms for freezing which require the payment of the next (or now past due) month. Upon your return, your first month back is already covered by that payment. You then texted us a screenshot of a positive COVID test result, which had no information of who it was for, from what date the test was taken, and with a timestamp of 3:29 in the screenshot which you sent it to us at 12:06pm. We did not receive any other documentation from you. We informed you that the screenshot was not adequate but still have not received anything else from you.
We then sent you the Freeze form via email, that same day, the 23rd, however, it bounced due to the incorrect email initially provided. We asked you for the correct email and we then sent the form again to the new email, which did not receive a bounced notification. We have not heard back from you since. If you would like to try and correct all of this, we are still willing to work with you, but need your cooperation as well.May 3, 2021Previous reviewI'd give a 0 stars if I could. They are all about the money an nothing else 100%. My daughter ended up with COVID so my entire household was quarantined for 2 weeks. I contacted them to let them know the situation and that me and my daughter will not be able to make it for 2 weeks so can a hold or something be done since we are affected by COVID. They said they would if I can provide proof so I sent a picture of the positive Covid test am they said that was not enough. They wanted medical records notes an so many other things that number 1 is a hippa violation to ask for that stuff and number 2 I just showed you the test. No sympathy, no cared given for what we were dealing with just every excuse to get money. I have all the texts and emails am not in collections. I've contacted KOLO 8 about how this company treats their members during Covid an when affected by Covid and hopefully they will do a story on how horrible this place is. So now I'm fighting with collections and besides all that it's a 30 minute work out you can look up online an find out what to do. There is no real training behind anything like they will tell you if you sign up it's so this this an this then yell good job an 30 seconds to go. You can pay a gym 10 a month an get more help then you can with this place. STAY AWAY
Mar 3, 2021Previous reviewWhen I joined here last month the staff was very friendly and gave some good motivation to join, so I signed me and my daughter up. After signing up the whole speech I was given about following up to help keep motivated was nowhere to found. Second thing and to me the most important thing was my other daughter ended up coming back from a visit with her mom an unfortunately caught COVID. During this time I'm not going out my family is not going out and when I reported a freeze due to my family being affected they wanted a lot of different information. I sent them the positive test results and they said that was not enough. It's the only documentation that I received from the positive test. The first page shows all my daughters info and then you sign in and only gives the results. I continue to try to work on this due to my family being affected and they did not care only wanted the money. Said that I can fill a form out that will freeze my account but have to pay 250 first. I will never go back here due to trying to keep my family healthy and safe and they had no compassion or even cared just wanted money money money. I have it 2 stars cuz the place is fun but if an emergency or something in your life goes wrong and you need a break no way will they accommodate you or help you out unless you are sending them so much personal information on yourself or even a minor as in this case it's 100% not worth going. Sign up for your work outs elsewhere is my personal opinion

Own scams you out of money. Tells you one thing then charges keep incurring once you cancel. They won't stand by what they tell you and won't even sign a document stating charges will stop. They want you to take their word for it so they can change their mind and charge you again!!!

Only stopped by to put the same door hanger advertisement they put on my door with a big NO SOLICITORS sign, back on their own door. I get youre a new company, and youre trying to get word out youre new, but when youre flyer day laborers put bs on my property, thats where i draw the line. Be happy no one was home. Be very happy when i stopped by, you werent open like the yelp said you were.

Hello, John. I am so sorry to hear that a door hanger for our establishment was placed upon your door handle. While those that were distributing them for the new location were instructed not to place any upon residences with signs requesting not to be disturbed, it is possible that one was over-zealous, or that someone else decided to grace your abode with the slip of paper. Either way, I apologize that this caused you such distress as to need to leave such a comment here for the world to share in your aggravation. The fact that this slip of parchment, left by someone unseen, had you so angered that you felt the need to take time out of your busy day to come to a kickboxing facility and attempt to display your aggression, only to find that we were not there, is disappointing. We were busy running errands and making final preparations for our opening day, for our many members who enjoy the services that we provide. Rest assured, we have no desire to bother you further.

So my daughter had me try it one night and well let's just say I signed up that night. I am so excited to see results I am already feeling better and have never sweat this much in my life. The staff is totally amazing and helpful with teaching me the correct way to punch. So excited for Spanish Springs to get a place like this. If I could give more stars I would!!! Woohoo looking forward to a better me!!! It's only 30 minutes out of your day.

Very awesome business and friendly, welcoming staff! I have been wanting to try it out, and finally did! Had a great workout, sweating my butt off. It's very convienant, easy to get in and get out, friendly staff, no one makes you feel stupid or like you don't know what you're doing. I signed up and am excited to start this journey!

I had my first trial workout yesterday and immediately signed up for a membership right afterwards. The trainers were super welcoming, encouraging throughout the workout, and guided me through the rounds. I met with the owner, Matt, after the workout and went though all of the benefits they offer with membership. He was super friendly and low-pressure. The workout was intense but the music was loud and got me pumped, and it was over before I knew it. I highly encourage anyone to do a trial workout
