I am very pleased with the service performed on my 2005 Subaru Forester Turbo 2.5 T. It has 149,000 miles and it is no longer a good idea to take it to Lithia Subaru because they have far too many cars to service.

We thought we had an issue with our truck. We call A Master and they got us in that day, we left the truck there and they ran several diagnostic tests. they called us the next day and said all the tests were negative and all appeared in order. When I picked up my truck I was expecting to pay for the diagnostic tests but to my surprise I was told there would not be a charge. Granted I have been a loyal customer with A Master for sometime but work was preformed and I was ready to pay for work done. I come back because of the quality of the work and the service by the staff. It's this added courtsey that makes me want to share my experience with A-Masters. Thank you Jeff you have a great team.

I cannot recommend A Master Mechanic enough. They are honest and trustworthy. We had to bring a car back in for some warranty work. (It had to do with the materials not the capabilities of the mechanics) They were good at keeping us in touch with what was going on and they were ALWAYS a delight to talk with over the phone. We worked primarily with Geronimo and he was extremely professional and very kind. We will continue to support A Master Mechanic with our Automotive needs & projects. Thanks again Geronimo!

Nov 3, 2022Previous reviewIt's never easy going to the shop and getting bad news. I worked with Chuck during the duration of my vehicle's stay. We originally went in because of an oil leak. Chuck was able to send over a photo and explain to me a further issue with my vehicle. He was kind and put it into words that I can understand. I'm sure it's never easy to give out bad news but I feel that Chuck and the others at A Master Mechanic have my best interest in mind. They were able to give me a quote on the additional work that needed to be completed. I feel it was best to get all of this work finished while they had my car open for maintenance. Thank you A Master Mechanic for all of your help! Thanks again Chuck!

This review is for SMOG CHECK. $24.00. This shop just exudes that professional & trustworthy feel that inspires confidence. It may only be a smog check but I want competent people to do it.
I cannot imagine ever going anywhere else to smog check my car. It's so easy here and they have the MOST delicious waiting room imaginable.
I have a newer car that doesn't need repairs and hopefully won't for a long time. So for now I'll probably only be here once a year for smog checks...and snacks!
But if you've got to deal with repairs, there cannot be a better waiting room to hang out in for a day!!! And reading the Yelp reviews, I noticed they RESPOND to reviews. That tells me they are serious about customer satisfaction. They understand we are going to tell people about our experience and they are paying attention to what we say. Seems great to me.

We were never given an opportunity to become a customer of your establishment. No I was never employed by your establishment. As I mentioned in my original review of our experience we reached out to your company via phone call for the 1st time and your employee never followed up with us. We believe in leaving honest review both good and bad and leave it up to people reading reviews to make their own decisions. We could of been a customer of your establishment but was never given the opportunity to move forward. Sep 7, 2023Previous reviewWe needed a smog on an older vehicle and spoke to an employee that stated someone would get back to us and no one ever did. This is the reason for the 1 star rating. If you are unable to assist customer at least have the courtesy to follow up and let the customer know instead of leaving them in limbo. So contrary to all the positive reviews we unfortunately did not have a good 1st experience with this company.

I was in a real pickle with a 25-year-old Mustang that had multiple lights on and they helped me out. They didn't have any open appointments, but they fixed my car in between other jobs. They were nice and Geronimo took really good care of me.

There are better places to send your wives and daughters alone. The AC stopped working on the Hyundai Accent my nineteen-year-old daughter drives. A friend recommended this place, so I called and made an appointment.
My daughter dropped it off early Thursday morning for an estimate. She and I both called several times about the quote. The mechanic told me that evening that the AC compressor had to be replaced. I asked for a ballpark figure because he said he had been assessing the car at the shop since 7:30 a.m. He said around $900. I gave him my email and asked that he email the quote the following day.
The quote was $2,200.00. I called and spoke to another gentleman, asking why the price was so high. As we reviewed the bill item by item, things began to bother me.
I was charged $168 three times for a diagnostic fee, which I assume is plugging their little machine into the car. That's $500 to find out what is wrong!
Then, I discovered the main issue. The estimate included an oil change, which was not necessary because. The oil had been changed regularly and was not due for another 1,000 miles.
There was a charge to repair a tire. I declined this because it's under warranty. They also had a $51.30 charge to replace the wiper blades...um, no.
We finally got the price down to around $1,400.00. I had them do the work because I had no confidence in finding an honest mechanic. Let's see how it holds up.

We took our car in for 60,000 mile service and felt their price was very reasonable. They did a thorough job on the car and their recommended repairs were sound. They absolutely did not try to oversell me on things that were not needed. Staff were friendly and efficient. As a bonus, the waiting area was clean and stocked with snacks and drinks. We are a one car family, so they graciously gave me a ride. We highly recommend A Master Mechanic.

GET A SECOND OPINION or take someone with you who knows cars. The ONLY good thing about them was Fred was very courteous. Had my daughters car towed there because of a leaking radiator. Found out there was a crack in it and so he sent me pictures and a quote. $1300+ is what they wanted! Are you kidding me?!?! $790 in labor!!!Absolutely insane considering that all the parts they had to get to would've either already been removed or accessible to change out the radiator. ROBBERY. I feel sorry for unsuspecting college students who don't know better.

When giving quotes, we have to charge for not only the cost of the part, but the time and labor that it takes our team to install it.
